But, perhaps most importantly, it is the host of the Canada Grand Prix. It also hosted Champ Car World Series Grand Prix of Montreal from 2002 to 2006. In its history it has been home to the FIA World Sportscar Championship, the Champ Car World Series, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series.
